Dunlop riders light-up the podium in 2009 AMA ATVA Spring Southern Nationals

Buffalo, NY: A picturesque day and a packed Alabama house at Millcreek Raceway’s FMF ATV Spring National greeted round two of the 2009 AMA ATV Motocross Championship series, and Dunlop riders again shine bright throughout a full day of racing.

On Sunday, in the premiere Pro class moto 1 and 2, Honda-mounted Nick Denoble and Josh Upperman pulled off impressive back to back holeshots using Dunlop Quadmax Sport radials. Veteran Honda rider Joe Byrd had two outstanding motos (2-2) finishing second on the podium followed by fellow Honda rider Josh Upperman finishing third.

In the Pro-Am class, Randy Lehr made his return from an early 2008 injury to ride 2 strong races (3-2) in the Unlimited class to capture a second place podium.

Pro-Am Women action saw reigning champion Heather Byrd picking up where she left off in 2008, with a 1-1 finish staying out front, to again stand front & center. Fellow Honda rider, Adrienne Cooper rounded out the podium in third place. Angela Adkins continued her winning ways on her new Can-Am ride fitted with Quadmax Sport Radials as she lead from start to finish to claim the top spot.

As the sun set on Sunday at Millcreek Raceway, Dunlop riders had snatched 5 Pro/Pro-Am podiums and a total of 6 in all along with 2 “Holeshot” awards which Dunlop riders are accustomed to achieving with the Quadmax Sport Radial.

The next stop for the AMA ATV Motocross Championships in 2009 takes the series Balance MX Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky on April 4th & 5th for a full slate of racing action.
