Dunlop sponsored Pro rider Joe Byrd takes Round #3 AMA ATV MX Bluegrass Nationals by storm at Bowling Green.

Buffalo, NY: As the weather forecast called for thunderstorms and a tornado watch was in effect for the area, Joe Byrd rode his Quadmax Sport radial shod Honda to a convincing holeshot in moto 1, going wire to wire for the win.

In Moto 2, Joe Byrd was second out of the gate behind Jeremy Lawson who rocketed his Motoworks/Dunlop sponsored Can-Am to his first holeshot award. Dunlop Quadmax Sport Radials two, competition zero.

Joe Byrd took over the lead on lap 4 and never looked back as he completed the sweep going 1-1 and taking the overall win and pulling within 1 point of the lead.

Four Dunlop sponsored riders again placed in the top ten.

Pro-Am Women action saw reigning champion Heather Byrd again finishing 1-1 for the overall and fellow Honda rider, Adrienne Cooper rounded out the podium in third place.

Dunlop Pro riders are accustomed to capturing “holeshot awards” with the Quadmax Sport Radial, now claiming the last 4.

The next stop for the AMA ATV Motocross Championships in 2009 takes the series to Birch Creek MX Park in Danville, VA on April 18th & 20th for a full slate of racing action.
