Dunlop sponsored Pro rider Joe Byrd captures two more Holeshot Awards at Round #4 AMA ATV Pro Nationals at Birch Creek Motorsports in Danville, VA.

Buffalo, NY:  Under overcast skies and warm temps that made for perfect racing weather, in moto 1 Byrd drag raced his Quadmax Sport Radial fitted Honda to the first turn, snagging the $250 Holeshot award.  However, the bike’s setup couldn’t keep him in front, settling for 3rd.

In moto 2, Byrd again rocketed out of the gate to lead the pack and sweeping the Holeshot Awards for the day.   After leading much of the moto, a costly error allowed Byrd to get passed putting him 3-2 for the weekend and 3rd overall.  

Byrd protégé rookie Clay Holmes went 7-9 for 6th overall.  Can-Am rider Jeremy Lawson finished 12-6 and 8th overall. 

Dunlop riders rounding out the Pro class:

Josh Upperman (Honda) 12th overall
Jeremie Warnia (Can-Am) 14th overall
Brandon Smith (Can-Am) 17th overall
Pro-Am Women action saw reigning champion Heather Byrd finishing 2-1 for the overall and fellow Honda rider, Adrienne Cooper rounded out the podium in third place.

The next stop for the AMA ATV Motocross Championships in 2009 takes the series to Sunset MX Park in Walnut, IL on May 2nd & 3rd for a full slate of racing action.
